EarthWalk ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal fitness app that tracks your daily steps and helps you set walking goals. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
📱 Data We Collect
EarthWalk collects the following information that you provide directly:
- Personal profile: Name, age, gender, height, weight, and goal weight
- Fitness data: Daily step counts, walking distance, active minutes, and calories burned
- Nutrition data: Meals and calorie intake that you manually log
- Goals: Custom walking goals and targets you set within the app
The app also uses your device's built-in step counter sensor (pedometer) to automatically count steps.
💾 How Data is Stored 100% On-Device
All your data is stored locally on your device only. EarthWalk does not have a backend server, does not upload your data to any cloud service, and does not transmit your personal information over the internet.
Your data lives entirely within the app on your phone. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted.
🔒 Data Sharing
We do not:
- Sell your data to any third party
- Share your data with advertisers
- Upload your data to any external server
- Use your data for any purpose beyond displaying it to you inside the app
🔑 Permissions Used
- Physical Activity / Step Counter: Required to count your daily steps using the device pedometer
- Notifications: Used to send daily step reminders if you enable them in Settings
- Internet: Reserved for future features (currently not used to transmit personal data)
- Location: Reserved for future map features (not currently active)
👶 Children's Privacy
EarthWalk is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
✏️ Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times
- Delete: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your data
- Modify: You can update your profile and goals at any time from the app settings

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
